Budh Aditya Yoga is one of the important combinations in Vedic Astrology. In Sanskrit, Budh means “Mercury” and Aditya means ” Sun”.
Mercury is the closest planet to Sun out of all the planets. Hence, we find this yoga in most of the charts.
HOW IS THIS YOGA FORMED?
This yoga is formed when Sun and Mercury are in conjunction or together in the same house.
We find this yoga in more than 90 percent of the charts as Mercury is always very close to the Sun.
Does that mean that all these people having this yoga will get its benefit?
The straight and strict answer is “NO“. A person will only get the benefit of this yoga when it is very strong in his/her Birth Chart or Kundli.
SO WHEN IS THIS YOGA STRONG?
This yoga is strong when Sun & Mercury are:
- Not in infancy ( 0-5 Degrees)
- Not in old state ( 25-30 Degrees)
- Friendly with the ascendant lord of the chart
- Not afflicted by malefics
- Not in unfavourable houses
- Exalted or in own house
- Not debilitated
Note: Mercury should not be combust, that is, it should not be very close to the Sun in the chart.
